A Little Book of Comfort
I just love this tiny book! I'm not sure where I got it now, but it's a small compilation of folk art paintings by one of my favorite artists, Barbara Strawer. I look at it often and am inspired.
Maybe in another life-time I'll pick up a paint brush. but for now I'll stick with the needle!

Wool Gathering

Pat's Bouquet
We had a great turn out at Karen's for our monthly wool get together. Such a creative bunch. Here are a few snaps just to show you.
Lindsay's yo-yo

Linda's chicks
Marilyn's thriftiness shines through: she re-purposes wool and uses dryer sheets on the back as a stabilizer.

Tree Of Life

While at the quilt show in Bremerton, Marilyn, one of my customers, brought her "show and tell" tree of life pattern. As you can see, she's done a magnificent job of it. She used simple stitches for the leaves; feather, chain, French knots and fern....very pretty. She added a thin lining to stabilize it. Next spring this

pattern will be featured in Simply Vintage (Quiltmania). I am so stoked!

Upcoming Class

Eight Petal Pin Cushion
I was able to finish this large cushion as well. I will be teaching this one at Calico Threads in Tacoma on April 23rd. It will be a fun class! Come and join us if you're in our area.

Home Sweet Home

Been oh so busy these last few weeks. We has 2 shows to vend at. And now we're dyeing wool like crazy! Trying to get ready for the next one coming up soon. The attendance was good. Met many new folks and saw old friends too. It was a good time, but there's no place like home. Our kitties sure were happy to have us back. I felt like a sandwich with them sleeping on each side of me!
