Gala Pin Cushion

I just finished a new pin cushion. We're getting ready to do another show this weekend and I try to have something new to offer each time. Sometimes it's my creation and other times it's a new notion like thread or velvet. You know, try to keep things interesting for us gals.
This design is based on an Eastern Indian motif. The shapes are kind of wonky, but I think it works.
Not too many stitches used: chain, buttonhole, colonial knots and the running stitch around the leaves. Pretty simple in fact, so I think it will be appealing to the novice stitcher.
And I topped it off with a very bright pom-pom trim.
Well, I off to make one more delivery before we have to pack it up.
This pattern is available in my Etsy shop.Wishing you all a happy day!

So I've finished up some loose ends;  wool pins, which I already showed you a few of, and preparing for another show in a couple of weeks. And of course, dyeing more wool. So I thought I'd show you one of my older rugs I hooked probably 12 years ago...yikes! It's a bigger one....3 x 5 or so. I prefer doing larger rugs and I for the most part put them on the floor, and since we have wood floors they lay nicely. Some are starting to show there wear and some of the once bright colors are starting to fade. But that's ok.
I think I purchased this pattern from J. Moshimer , and it was kindly brought to my attention, that it is called "Wentworth".

Forest Doll

I'm just about finished with my latest Mother Nature doll. Just need to take a few photos for the pattern and I'll be all set for ...
