Morning in the Meadow

Good Sunday to you all! While my husband dyed wool today, I prepped a wall hanging by Goos Nest. I was recently asked to make a kit for this pattern, so I made one for myself as well. I was able to get it all basted down, yeah. Cutting and basting is always the most tedious. But now I'm all set to start stitching away.

Greetings!
Hope all is well with you all on this very fine Sunday.
I've been busy stitching up a few Christmas tree pins for an upcoming show in early November, our last for the year, Yeah! These little pins have 6 tiny yo-yos stitched in place to form a small tree. They're kind of addicting to make.
I have also several hooked little "house blessings" to go as well. For this last event I'm planning on having a Christmas table with items for gift-giving. It's hard to believe it will be here in 2 months! What a year it's been and where has the time gone I ask you!

Yo-yo Pins and trees
Oh, the little trees are filled with walnuts shells, so they can be slouchy or upright. This a pattern I found on-line a few years back and still make a few every now and then.

In our area in Washington many of the quilt shops are doing the wooly block adventure, similar to the row by row. I was asked by Karen of Karen's Quilt Shop in Sequim to design a block. The theme is winter wonderland. So here's my take...a bit of sharing amongst 2 woodland creatures.....good for all seasons, don't you think?

Forest Doll

I'm just about finished with my latest Mother Nature doll. Just need to take a few photos for the pattern and I'll be all set for ...
