Cat in the Garden: Hooked and Appliqued

I recently drew up this pattern based on my "Cat in the Garden" applique. I worked on it while my dear husband drove us to and from the Yakima quilt show
last week. I was able to get quite a bit done, thanks to him. And I was pleasantly surprised at how easily I could hook "on the road". Will definitely do it more often.

Testing, testing...purrfect.

  1. Hmmmm... while I enjoy both applique and hooking... I've got to say that I prefer this design as you hooked it! :-) The movement of the rows of hooking just makes it all come alive! Love it!

  2. LOVE seeing designs interpreted in two different mediums! I find that appliqued quilt patterns are very compatible for rug hooking! Your projects are adorable!
