The FOX TROT Begins

Started a new piece this weekend; calling it Fox Trot. It is drawn on white primitive linen...I didn't bother to serge the edges since it's a small piece. I rounded off the top corners to soften the look. So far I used Chestnut brown for the tree, variegated #3 for the leaves. and variegated #8 for the moon. I outlined the leaves with dark green yarn from my stash.

HOOKED HOUSE BLESSING

Here's a house blessing I hooked up with some left over wool from the PEACE DOVE. I made quillies circles for the flowers. I added a same bird and a bead from my collection. Please feel free to print a copy of the pattern.

PEACE DOVE Completed

I finished my PEACE DOVE. I backed it with a piece of mill dyed wool...a pretty blue herringbone and whipped stitched the edges with 6-ply embroidery floss. I have this design available as a hand drawn pattern on linen, a paper pater and a digital downloadable file.

Peace Dove Hooked Rug

I've been working on a new rug hooking project this past week. It's an adaption of a punched embroidery pattern of mine. On this one I'm using wool strips in a #6 cut and wool yarn, some sati ribbon...lots of texturing going on.
