I've been working diligently on my latest wall hanging. It's funny how one can get obsessed with a project. Thinking about the stitches to use. Colors. Placement of parts.....while working out at the gym, trying to sleep, and oh no, while your husband is talking to you!                                                                                                          For the larger hearts I embroidered long and short buttonhole stitches and added a colonial knot to each tip. On the smaller hearts I first stitched around them in the blanket stitch with "Pumpkin" floss and then added several blanket stitches on each "bar", using bright red perle cotton, making it look ruffled.
I went back to the leaves and stitched some straight stitches in a dark red perle cotton. It's slowly taking shape.
