Olympic Wool Works in Spokane

Our trip to Spokane turned out to be a real positive adventure. After a trying journey over the Snoqualamie Pass through the pouring rain, we spent five delightful days in Spokane, Washington.  The purpose of the trip was to attend the WSQ Quilt Show as vendors. This was Olympic Wool Works first experience at this show and we're very pleased to have been a part of a very, very nice event.  Visitors were greeted with live harp music at the door before they had to navigate three fairly larger rooms full of beautifully made quilts. We hope to make this an annual event.

Darlene will be teaching a class in Port Gamble, WA at Quilted Strait Quilt Shop. Students will be learning to create a pincushion with a flower motif. It will be an exercise in wool applique and hand embroidery. Class will be held on Nov. 5 at 11:00 - 2:30.

November 10 - 12 Olympic Wool Works will be at the Block Party Quilters Quilt Show in Issaquah, WA. Issaquah is a fun town nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Cascade Mountains. This will be our last show of the year. Once we return home from Issaquah we'll be spending a lot of time with our online shops and their related activities (such as developing this blog). We happened to launch the website and blog just before our busiest season for shows began, so it's been a struggle to try to get everything in proper order and make all of our requisite communications. I plan to be better at it come winter (and beyond).
